Oh, boy! What a pity that you guys watched the movie instead read the book! This movie sucks! Fortunately, I first read the book and I liked it a lot. Despite I read the book first, the cover shows a David Bowie photo. For me, he was the perfect person for a visual representation of “Tommy”.

Please, if you could, try to read the book! The book explains the limitations for the travel and the need of a construct the spaceship in a “window of time” (because the minor distance of the planets at the “deadline”).

I wrote a review about the book. Unfortunatelly, it’s in Portuguese (by the way, sorry for my broken English, I hope you can understand my commentary here), but you can use the Google Chrome resource to Translate the page (Right Button, translate). At least, you guys can check out the beautiful brazilian edition by Darkside in the photos I put at the end of the post.

Great podcast! I am a subscriber. I’m happy to known the next episode will be about Road Warrior (by the way, i’ts the second movie of the franchise, the “original” is “Mad Max” (1979), with a civilization decay, but still have cops and courts. Road Warrior it’s the “Law of the stronger”.

Good to know! Maybe it will turn out like Spaceship Troopers where the movie is horrendous but the book is worthwhile. We’ll have to give it a go at some point. Thanks for letting us know because we would have missed that one!
